The survey released by Cruise Line International Association  (CLIA)  states that in 2007, 9.57 million Americans took a cruise vacation representing 76 percent of the total 12.56 million guests carried on CLIA member cruise lines. And based on that study, 33.7 million Americans are expected to cruise within the next three years.

Given these data,  CLIA research brings good news to those who wants to work on a cruise ship. With an increasing number of cruise ship passengers means an increase in the number of employment opportunities in cruise ship liners. Another interesting data mentioned on the survey is that every year at least eleven new cruise ships are send off at the sea. It means, cruise ship jobs are increasing yearly thus giving job hopefuls more chance to “jump in” and work on board.

December and January are the busiest months for hiring staff knowing that these are the key months when people are packing up their things or reserve their cruise ship vacations trips in different cruise liners. Both months are packed and fully booked because its a popular and great idea to go on a cruise vacation during the festive and New Year periods. With liners packed full of passengers, sufficient staff are required to look after them and run the many on board facilities and amenities. Another fact is, the World Cruise season begins in January each year so opportunities for cruise ship jobs, which visit Europe, the Caribbean, USA, Australia, the Far East, or even the Arctic – the entire globe are high!

In that case, cruise ship companies need to post the new job vacancies and train new employees to work through the next cruise trip. In this season, massive job competition occurs. The most skilled and competitive applicants get the chance. Simply put, this is the best time to begin applying in these jobs if you want to get hired fast.

You’re lucky enough to have a chance to bag a job in the most indulgent and fascinating liners in the world.
